PRAYER FOR NATIONS

NORTH KOREA: Country in Focus for Week 17th – 21st July 2023.

Day 3: Wednesday, 19th July 2023

Country: North Korea
Capital: Pyongyang
Focus: Peace in the Land

Brief Overview
In 1950, war broke out between North and South Korea. A cease fire ended the fighting in 1953, but no official peace treaty has been signed. Frequent confrontation and clashes have occurred up to recent times.

Following heightened tension throughout 2017, 2018 saw North Korea, South Korea, and the U.S. holding a series of summits, which promised peace and nuclear disarmament.

This led to the Panmunjom Declaration on 27 April 2018, when the North and the South agreed to work together to denuclearize the peninsula, improve inter-Korean relations, and end the conflict officially.

In subsequent years, diplomatic efforts faltered and military confrontation returned to the fore. This volatile region is in need of a lasting peace that will end decades of hostility.

Prayers for North Korea- Peace in the Land
1. Say Prince of Peace, let Your peace which surpasses all understanding descend upon the nation of North Korea and by extension on the Korean Peninsula.

2. Though Korea is one nation and one people group, it has been divided into North and South Korea since the end of WWII in 1945. Pray for a peaceful reunification, without warfare or bloodshed.

3. Say Father, give North Koreans supernatural peace to withstand the physical and spiritual challenges they face.

4. Pray pray that mistrust and confrontation between North Korea and the South would die down so that peace would reign in the region.

5. Pray for a peaceful future for the Korean Peninsula. Ask the Lord to put a permanent end to hostility in the region.

Note: Please let’s add below to our daily prayers👇

🙏Say Father, please settle our national problems in Nigeria permanently. Pray for a new Nigeria where peace and justice shall reign.

🙏Pray for the salvation of the Jewish People globally. Pray that God will be a refuge for them, that He will keep them from harm, and execute righteousness and judgment on their behalf.

Psalms 22:27-28
“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before Him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and He rules over the nations.”
